Members of the Boyd Interactive executive team travelled to Las Vegas last week for the 2026 Global Gaming Expo (G2E), held at The Venetian Expo from September 28 to October 1.
Now in its 26th year, G2E remains one of the largest events on the gaming industry calendar. The American Gaming Association estimated that around 25,000 people from more than 120 countries attended this year, with some 400 exhibitors presenting new products, slot content and table games across the show floor.
A Full Week of Meetings
For our team, the week was busy from start to finish. Our schedule was built around meetings with existing partners, conversations with suppliers, and time with industry friends we don’t get to see often enough outside of events like this one.
These conversations are an important part of how we work. Meeting face to face helps us understand where our partners are heading, what suppliers are building, and where there may be opportunities to work together. That applies both to our own brands and to the services we offer other operators through Boyd Interactive’s B2B Solutions.
New Ideas on the Floor
G2E always offers a broad view of where the industry is heading, and one thing remains constant: gaming is an industry that is always open to new ideas and concepts, including those that challenge the established way of doing things. Over the years, a range of alternative models have each taken a turn as the main topic of conversation at shows like this one.
This year, prediction markets were among the most discussed subjects at the conference. They came up in keynote remarks, in panel sessions and in conversations across the show floor. Alongside them, a number of other emerging product formats also drew interest from attendees.
It was a useful week to hear the full range of perspectives from across the industry.
Beyond the Headline Topics
The wider conference program also covered sports betting integrity, the growing role of AI in identifying irregular betting activity, and the pace of cashless payment adoption on casino floors. On the exhibition floor, suppliers showcased new game content and technology. The show also hosted its annual tournament to find the best casino dealer in North America.
Thank You and Next Steps
We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to meet with us during the show. We left Las Vegas with plenty of follow-ups and look forward to continuing these conversations in the months ahead.
